HOW TO WEAR SECOND SKIN SWADDLE

Two “Mom’s Second Skins” makes up the Second Skin Swaddle.  Each Skin has a short straight  back and a long curved front.

After birth the “Mom’s Second Skin” is pulled over your baby.  It allows easy movement in the “Breast Crawl” and supports the natural breastfeeding position.

To tighten the front edges of pouch for more support, slide your hand under the shoulder and grasp the  inner edge and pull out toward you arm.

With infant in pouch, you can pull the second “Mom’s Skin over your torso and baby .  This is called the “Moderate Hold”.

For “Active Hands Free Hold”, pull the additional Skin to the opposite shoulder.  Check to see that the pouch is formed and folds continues to both sides.

When desired, baby can be in sitting position with feet outside the pouch.

A “Mom’s Second Skin” is worn in L&D, OR,  Postpartum & NICU to secure correct positioning, temperature control and discretion.

For more support you can pull the “Mom’s Second Skin” up on your shoulder. A pouch is then formed.

This forms a twist that tightens the front edges of the pouch.

For “Active Hands Free Hold”, pull the additional Skin to the opposite shoulder.  Check to see that the pouch is formed and folds continues to both sides.

Your newborn can be placed in pouch upright with knees above hips enclosed.

Adjust shoulders and shift baby to breastfeed.

With Swaddle positioned on shoulders as in the “Active Hold,” undo twist in both shoulders and smooth.

Separate the sections and insert the flange of the pump between the two skins.  Adjust edges to secure the flange.

Can pump hands free with or without baby.

* Models are wearing tube tops here for discretion only.
